The United Nations proclaimed 2025 as the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology. The year was chosen as it recognizes 100 years since the initial development of quantum mechanics. Activities at all levels aimed at increasing public awareness of the importance of quantum science and applications.

The European Center for Quantum Sciences will contribute to this worldwide initiative by organising a Quantum Week from 3-7 March 2025 in its premises at the Cronenbourg campus in Strasbourg, France.
